Shimmering Sands Tested — Blueprint Gaming
Across a catalog of 70+ Blueprint Gaming releases, Shimmering Sands was the title our team found ourselves going back to. You'll find the Middle Eastern theme executed with care, rather than an afterthought. Ahead: the full breakdown — everything verified by our reviewers.
The Numbers
Stakes run from 0.2 per line up to around 50 total stake, fitting penny players through high rollers alike. Forget line-counting: at 243 ways in play, hits land far more frequently than any fixed-line layout allows. As with any slot: variance decides single sessions — bet within your budget.
Art, Symbols and Sound
A reel lineup covers castle, tiger, camel, tea service and crossed scimitars and supporting icons. Wild duty goes to the wild lamp, wild lamp multiplier and a Blitz collect wild lamp. The cash prize, ruby and emerald gems scatter remains the icon to chase here. Wild plus scatter gives Shimmering Sands dual engines toward surprise payouts.
Special Mechanics
Bonus play opens with the Ruby Bonus Spins — look for chance whenever a ruby gem lands on the reels and is collected into the Ruby Chest to set it off. The second feature — the Emerald Bonus Spins — stacks an extra dimension, triggered by chance whenever an emerald gem lands on the reels and is collected into the Emerald Chest. Then there's a third: the Double Jewel Bonus Spins, brought on by random chance when both the ruby gem and emerald gem appears on the reels and is collected into the corresponding chest. Round number four, the Cash Lock Feature, takes things further. The fifth round — its Wheel Feature — deepens the toolbox. Feature frequency felt fair during our test spins — not flooded, not starved.
